Bridal Emergency Kit

On the day of your wedding, you want to be as prepared as possible.  Even if you can’t find the perfect solution to any mishap, you do want a good-enough solution.  That’s why we’ve put together our top 10 bridal emergency kit must-haves!

1. Blotting papers

A wedding day must-have!  With all the sunlight, pictures, and nerves, you’re going to want some line of defense between you and the shine.  Make sure you’re are going with your trusted, favorite brand.

2. Tissues

Even if you’re usually not a crier, your wedding day may be different (or your husband-to-be might be a crier).  Just make sure you have tissues nearby to dry those tears!

3. Tide to Go

We swear by Tide to Go stain sticks.  They’re so small and convenient and work surprisingly well.  Of course they only work for smaller stains, but a pro-tip is that if you can’t get something entirely out of your white dress, put some white chalk over the stain to mask it.

4. First-aid Kit

Weddings can be stressful and have the possibility of injury.  Of course you may want a whole first aid kit, but you will definitely want painkillers at the least.  Maybe you’ve grown tired of your heels, or someone got a small cut -  you’ll want some quick fixes for you and your guests!.

5. Krazy Glue

It’s amazing how much this can fix: fingernails, jewelry, dress appliques, bouquets.  Just a little tube is a great barrier against disaster.

6. Dental floss

This is something that we usually carry in our purses anyways (because who wants to have food stuck in their teeth?).  There’s nothing more annoying than having something stuck in your pearly whites -it’s uncomfortable and you want to make sure your smile is perfect for the big day!

7. Mini sewing kit and safety pins

Even if you don’t really know how to sew, you can probably figure enough out to fix whatever little details you need.  If all else fails, Krazy Glue and safety pins!

8. Feminine hygiene products

Even if you don’t need them, somebody in your wedding party might and you don’t want to be caught without them.

9. Phone charger

Especially at a modern wedding, you will want a way to keep your phone charged.  We doubt that you will be on the phone a lot during your wedding day, but in the case of emergencies, you’ll want to make sure that it is charged.  A portable charger is convenient and cheap!

10. Nail clippers

One of the smallest items in your emergency kit, but one of the most important, nail clippers can be used to remove pesky tags, fix hangnails, open packages, and, of course, clip nails if needed.

You can buy pre-made kits here, but you’ll want to make sure that you supplement with the things you really need.  Make sure to check the content of your kit before you buy or before the wedding day.  Also, remember that it’s ok if things don’t go perfectly on your wedding day! As long as you’ve prepared, your special day will still be the perfect day!
